The roof of the student union caught on fire last night.
The smell of the burnt roof was in the air today.
It smelled like burnt rubber. Only worse.
This is the glass portion of the student union roof. They were, apparently, unsuccessful in setting this portion of the roof on fire.
Did I mention the smell?
The last time I smelled that smell was at the party when I burned my pre-surgery bras. Imagine this: old sneakers, maybe 32 pairs. Set on fire. Fire burns for several hours. Sneakers become like the burning bush in the Old Testament and are never consumed. So the smell just keeps going and going and going.
Wonder what the roofers were burning?
On second thought, I don't want to know.
